At Ravish Soap Company, we use only the highest-quality real ingredients to make our luxury cold-processed soap and skincare products.
When other soap companies use synthetic detergents to make their soaps, we use real, skin-loving natural oils and butters – 8 of them, in fact, go into every bar.
You bet! I study cosmetic chemistry as a hobby. I have a culinary degree, as well as advanced degrees in education, and it turns out that making high-quality soap and skincare products, using the simplest and best ingredients, is very much like creating an amazing recipe using only the best ingredients!
All soap is created through a chemical reaction called saponification. This chemical reaction occurs when lye (sodium hydroxide), water, and a fat or oil (such as cocoa butter or olive oil) are blended together and then allowed to “saponify”, thereby making soap.
Cold-process soap, in particular, allows the lye to be neutralized without using heat. This is quite a time-consuming process that allows for more gradual saponification. It can take 4-6 weeks for soap to “cure” and become, well, soap.
ALL true soap is made with lye, or sodium hydroxide, and yes, it is used to make our soap, but there is no lye leftover IN our soap.
Think of it like making bread from scratch – yeast is used to MAKE bread, but there is no yeast leftover IN bread after it is baked. Natural soap goes through a similar process – called saponification – when done correctly there is no lye leftover IN soap.
While no soap is truly 100% natural, we use only high-quality natural, sustainably-sourced oils and butters, as well as ensuring all other ingredients are paraben, phthalate, SLS, and sulfate free. All of our products are either 100% Vegan or Vegan friendly.
And we NEVER test our products on animals...only cool people.
The beauty of small-batch, handmade products is that each item is completely unique in its own way. There are never two bars of soap exactly the same from each batch of soap made.
So no, your soap will look SIMILAR to the soap displayed on our website, but it won't be exactly the same. You will own a one-of-a-kind soap, each and every time! How neat is that?
Absolutely! In fact we encourage it, as the less "junk" we use on our skin, the better.
As with any product that touches our skin, please discontinue use if irritation develops. Any product, even when made with the most natural, gentle ingredients can be irritating to certain sensitive individuals.
You're going to LOVE our foaming sugar scrub! It's especially amazing to use for exfoliating your legs right before shaving, as this helps to give a closer shave.
Just scoop out a tablespoon-sized amount into your hand and polish away any dull skin or rough patches on your body. Rinse afterwards; keep out of eyes.
Natural, cold-process soap is not made with synthetic preservatives or hardening agents, so it's important to let your soap dry in between uses. Be sure to store your soap on a soap dish or shelf that can drain, as it may get soft if left in water or remains wet.

How to use: Wet hair, lather shampoo bar between hands or directly onto hair, then wash hair and scalp clean. Rinse your troubles away!
Apply a light conditioner to hair afterwards, if needed. Keep shampoo bar dry in between uses - avoid leaving in water or remaining wet.
We're pretty efficient here at Ravish Soap Company and strive to have orders fulfilled as soon as possible.
However, if you have placed your order and need to make a change or add items,please contact uswithin 24 hoursof placing your order. Once an order is shipped, changes can only be made via return, refund, or through an additional order.
We want to ensure you get your Ravishing products as soon as possible, so it's VERY important to verify the address that you are giving for shipment.
If a customer provides an incomplete or inaccurate address upon placing an order, and the order is shipped, becomes undeliverable, and is returned to Ravish Soap Company; the customer will be responsible for shipping charges to re-send the package.
Please allow 2-3 business days to process and ship via USPS or UPS (excluding weekends).
When you place an order with Ravish Soap, you will be issued a USPS or UPS tracking number via email receipt. Before contacting us for additional assistance, please track your package with USPS or UPS to ensure it is not delayed.
Unfortunately, we have no control over when an item will reach its destination. Most packages are delivered within 3 days of shipping (depending on area code); however we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date. If you have not received your package within 7 days, please contact us so we can investigate.
USPS does not guarantee delivery on a specific date unless overnight shipping is selected and paid for upon checkout. Even Priority mail shipping gives an expected delivery date of 2-5 business days. Please see USPS website for their shipping policies.
During summer, or warmer months, orders placed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be shipped out on Monday, unless it is a federal holiday. During cooler weather, we will ship on Saturday for orders placed on Friday.
We do this because we care about the quality of our products and don't want them sitting in a hot warehouse or mail truck over the weekend. We want to ensure you receive your order in the best possible condition.

Your satisfaction with our wonderful products is our number one priority! If you have an issue with the quality of our products, please contact us so we can make it right. We want you to shop in confidence knowing your product is fresh, handmade, and has never been used by another customer.
Refunds are given for items that are returned unopened and sealed – except soap – within 14 days of purchase. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Refunds are credited back to the credit card or Paypal account used at the time of purchase.
If your product arrives damaged due to negligence of the courier service, we will be happy to send a replacement. Please contact us within 72 hours (3 days) of receipt of the damaged product.
When we reply, we will ask for you to simply send a photograph of the damaged package and products so we may submit a claim through insurance on your behalf.
Once notified, we will replace the damaged product as long as we have the item(s) in stock. If we are out of stock for that particular item(s), we will notify you and you may select a different product of equal or lesser value.

Ravish Soap Company is not responsible for any individual reaction to any particular ingredient. If you have sensitivities, please be sure to research all ingredients before using a product. Our products are only to be used for personal use and topical (on skin) use.
